Chincoteague Island, Virginia’s only resort island, is perhaps the most beautiful island on Virginia’s Eastern Shore, but maybe we’re biased. Chincoteague is the gateway to the Assateague Island National Seashore and the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge.

Our restaurants boast delicious island fare and if that’s not your fancy, traditional fare is available as well. Enjoy a kayaking adventure, nature walks, climbing the Lighthouse, and searching for ponies. Not interested in an adventure? That’s fine, too.
